True empowerment is about creating opportunities, nurturing talent, and building platforms where young Namibians can shine. The Miss Namibia journey managed through the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) is not only about celebrating beauty and advocacy, it is about fuelling growth in the creative and service industr
When Paulina Nghipunya and her team were selected to style the finalists in 2025, it was more than just a contract. It was recognition of northern Namibia’s talent. “We are grateful to Debmarine Namibia for assisting Small and Medium Enterprises. My workers were happy, and we learned a lot from the event,” she shared. For us, this is exactly what empowerment looks like giving SMEs the chance to grow and shine.
For Glowney Naris, Miss Namibia was an opportunity to extend her reach and give back. “This sponsorship is not only for Miss Namibia, but it also extends to the creative industry. I worked with 40 vocational students, helping them gain real-world experience.” Supporting entrepreneurs like Glowney means supporting communities, and we are proud to stand behind initiatives that nurture both business and youth.
Obeth and his team at Shekinah Events were contracted to manage the pageant events. “We employed about 30 people thanks to this opportunity. Debmarine Namibia’s sponsorship. It helped us market our business and gave us visibility.” For us, this is impact in action — creating jobs, strengthening industries, and building futures.
As Gideon Beukes explained, “The Miss Namibia platform gave us the chance to appoint freelance specialists and technicians. The sponsorship exposed us to different venues and regions.” By supporting companies like ConsoAV, we ensure that Namibia’s creative and technical industries continue to thrive and innovate.
Miss Namibia is more than a crown. It is a national platform that brings together over 100 service providers, hairstylists, caterers, event managers, audiovisual specialists, and more. Each one benefits from exposure, employment, and growth. For the youth, it is a gateway to skills development and mentorship. For the service industry, it is a showcase of excellence and innovation.
At Debmarine Namibia, we are proud to fuel this legacy of empowerment. Every partnership, every opportunity, and every success story reflect our commitment to building lasting benefits for Namibian communities.
For the past three years, the Miss Namibia pageant has rotated between regions such as Erongo, ||Kharas, and Oshana, and this year it will be hosted in the Omaheke Region. This regional rotation is deliberate and deeply impactful, as it ensures regional support by engaging local suppliers and service providers, while also promoting tourism by drawing visitors to new destinations each year. Accommodation owners, restaurants, and transport providers benefit immensely, and opportunities are spread across Namibia so that no region is left behind in sharing the advantages of this national platform. By rotating the event, Miss Namibia strengthens the fabric of the nation, fostering inclusivity, diversity, and shared prosperity.
We now look ahead to Miss Namibia 2026, to be held in Gobabis in Omaheke Region on 31 July and 01 August 2026. This event will once again unite more than 100 service providers, offering opportunities for growth, creativity, and empowerment. The call out for interested services advertised by the NBC is an opportunity for all professionals to join the band wagon of opportunity. Do not miss the opportunity to participate and be seen on a national platform!
Miss Namibia 2026 is more than a pageant; it is a movement. Join us in Gobabis as we celebrate beauty, talent, and the power of Namibian enterprise.
