At FlyNamibia, we believe the best stories aren’t found in travel brochures—they’re found in the people who live them every day. We’re searching for the next Face of FlyNamibia: a passionate Namibian creator who can capture the beauty, diversity and spirit of our country through authentic visual storytelling.

This isn’t a modelling competition. It’s a search for a creator who can inspire others to discover Namibia through fresh perspectives, meaningful stories and compelling content. Whether you shoot with a phone or a camera, whether you’re an experienced creator or an emerging storyteller, we’re looking for originality, creativity and authenticity.

Show us who you are.

To enter, submit:

  • Your favourite photo of yourself.
  • One Instagram Reel (60–90 seconds). This may be new or previously created.
  • Your Reel should celebrate Namibia—its people, places, culture, traditions or everyday moments.

The focus isn’t on production value.

It’s on storytelling.

Our judging panel will review every submission and select ten finalists based on:

  • Creativity
  • Storytelling ability
  • Authenticity
  • Cultural representation
  • Visual quality
  • Originality

The selected creators will move on to the final challenge.

Each finalist will receive the same creative brief:

Creative Theme: Unexpected Namibia

We all know Namibia’s famous landscapes. Now show us the Namibia that visitors rarely see by creating a 60–120 second vertical film answering the question:

What is something about Namibia that more people should discover?

It could be:

  • A remarkable person.
  • A hidden destination.
  • A local tradition.
  • A community.
  • A creative movement.
  • A family business.
  • An everyday moment that deserves attention.

Surprise us. Challenge expectations. Tell a story only you could tell.

Video Requirements

Your film must:

  • Be shot vertically (9:16).
  • Be between 60 and 120 seconds.
  • Include only original footage.
  • Include at least one person.
  • Include natural sound, music or voice-over.
  • Be filmed and edited entirely by you.

Professional production crews, stock footage and AI-generated visuals are not permitted.

Finalists will have one week to complete the challenge.

Once all finalist videos have been submitted, they will be showcased on the FlyNamibia website.

The winner will be determined through:

  • 50% Public Vote
  • 50% FlyNamibia Judging Panel

Public voting gives every Namibian the opportunity to celebrate and support their favourite storyteller, while our judging panel evaluates creativity, originality, storytelling and brand alignment.

The winner will become the Face of FlyNamibia 2026 and serve as the airline’s official creator ambassador.

The winner will receive:

  • A feature on the cover of the September edition of FlyNamibia Magazine.
  • A professional cover photoshoot.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with FlyNamibia on travel campaigns and content throughout the year.
  • The chance to travel, create and tell stories that inspire more people to experience Namibia.

Someone who is:

  • Curious.
  • Creative.
  • Authentic.
  • Passionate about Namibia.
  • Comfortable behind and in front of the camera.
  • Able to connect with people through meaningful stories.

We’re not searching for the biggest following. We’re searching for the strongest storyteller. Because every flight begins with a destination. But every destination begins with a story.

Could you be the next Face of FlyNamibia?

Entrants must:

  • Be over the age of 18 years
  • Be Namibian citizens
  • Employees of FlyNamibia and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
  • Previous winners are not eligible.
  • All entries must be original and created by the entrant.
  • Each participant may submit only one entry.
  • Incomplete or late entries will not be considered.
  • The winner will be notified via email and announced on FlyNamibia’s official social media channels.
  • Be willing and able to travel by air at least once a month (in both an Embraer and smaller aircraft)
  • Be willing to sign a modelling and brand representation agreement with FlyNamibia for the period of 1 year
  • Not have an existing model or brand representation contract with another company.
  • By entering the competition, participants grant FlyNamibia the right to use their submitted content for marketing and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
  • Finalists agree to participate in promotional activities related to the competition, including photo shoots, interviews, and events.
  • Consent to their image being used for advertising and commercial purposes for the period of the contract and beyond.
  • Consent to the content they create during the course of their Face of FlyNamibia contract being the exclusive use property of FlyNamibia.
  • Consent to the image/images they have used to enter into the competition being used for marketing this specific competition if they should make it into the Top 10.
  • FlyNamibia reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these terms and conditions or engages in any unlawful or inappropriate conduct.
