FlyNamibia is a proudly Namibian home-grown company. It is Namibia’s first privately-owned scheduled passenger airline.
It’s parent company, Westair Aviation, has been operating and setting the standards in aviation in Namibia since 1967 and is by far the country’s largest aviation company.
Westair Aviation was granted Designated Carrier status by the Namibian Transport Commission in 2019. FlyWestair, FlyNamibia’s predecessor brand, started operations in June 2019.
FlyNamibia currently operates domestic flights from Eros Airport in Windhoek to Ondangwa, Oranjemund, Rundu and Katima Mulilo, as well as a regional route between Hosea Kutako International Airport, Windhoek and Cape Town International.

As the country’s first private passenger airline, FlyNamibia is dedicated to supporting Namibia’s sporting teams and heroes. The partnership with the NFA is set to run for one year, and the airline hopes to extend its support to the country’s football development and the future of the sport in Namibia.
FlyNamibia announced in September 2022 that the airline was partnering with southern Africa’s largest private airline, Airlink.
